Spend 3 hours with our experienced guide, exploring a wooded trail deep in the Santiam State Forest astride a new equine friend who has been selected especially for you, based on riding experience, compatibility, and wine preferences. Before you and your guide set out, you’ll receive a orientation to horses and horse-personship, which includes how to “speak” horse as well as how to control where your horse goes safely (for both you and the horse).
All our packages offer the opportunity to commemorate the day with one of the hoof-path’s hundreds of photo opportunities, as commanding thumbs stand at attention when posing in front of breathtaking views of the Cascade Mountains and Santiam Valley. Trivia about the area’s history, biology and ecology is added by your guide at no cost.
Cost per rider: $195.00 OR “Buy One, Get One Half Price” and two ride for $293
Golden sunlight bursts through overhanging maple trees as an expert tour guide leads a cadre of up to four clip-cloppers through a weaving path of diverse foliage, magnificent meadows, clear streams, and fast-food options, imparting trivia about the route’s historical, geological, and botanical hallmarks.
Spend 4 1/2 hours on the trail, moving as quickly as the group prefers and developing a partnership with your horse-of-the-day. Photo opportunities are plentiful–from the saddle or from beside the trail–and the horses love having their pictures taken! All packages include a pre-ride orientation to riding safely and communicating with your equine partner.

This package allows riders to experience the entire 12-mile trail loop, with plenty of opportunities to learn about the route’s historical, geological, and botanical hallmarks and take pictures along the way. The horses will be camera-ready and happy to have you along! All packages include an orientation to horses, equine psychology and effective human-to-horse communication techniques, as well as rider safety.
Cost per rider: $495.00 OR “Buy One Get One Half Price” and 2 ride for $743
